Home to one of the largest gold rushes in Queensland’s history, Charters Towers is said to now have a closet full of golden ghosts! This trail tells their stories, starting from the visitor centre in Mosman Street, which includes One Square Mile (a walk of the heritage adorned streets in the heart of town), the old Stock Exchange, Towers Hill and the Venus Battery historic milling site.
